Melbourn Primary School PTFA is a charity fundraising committee run by parents of children in the school and some of the teaching staff. Funds raised by the PTFA help to provide all those little extras that enhance the children's lives in school.

We are proud to have contributed to many facilities that make our school special.

Our three main aims are to:

1. Develop extended relationships between the staff, parents, carers and children associated with the school.
2. Engage in activities that support the school and advance the education of the pupils.
3. Provide or assist in the provision of facilities or items for the school which are not provided from statutory funds.

How do we achieve this?

Fundraising events take place throughout the year and have included:

• Spring Fayre
• Firework Display
• Mother’s Day Market
• Father's Day Cake Stall
• End of term Children's Discos
• Quiz Nights
• Christmas Market

These events have raised thousands of pounds to enable the school to provide valuable resources for the children to use such as whiteboards, musical instruments, carpeting, hall lighting, books and many other items.

We have also contributed to the adventure play area and the playground refurbishment.

The success of the PTFA depends entirely on the support of parents, staff and the community.
